Be Part of the Conversation

Over the years, I have noticed vocational training classes returning to some of our high schools in Yolo County, offering hope and practical skills that can lead to stable careers without college. While pursuing college is valuable, it’s important to recognize that it may not be the immediate path for everyone. As the threat of AI to entry-level jobs grows, concerns are being raised within the community, and it’s vital to have discussions that will move us forward.

On Wednesday, June 10th at 5:30-7:30 PM, All Leaders Must Serve, in partnership with the Yolo County Office of Education, invites educators and community members and businesses to participate in a discussion on youth workforce preparation and how we can support young people transitioning from high school into the adult workforce.

Young people from Yolo County will have the chance to share their perspectives as the committee considers forming a youth advisory group to participate in decision-making—an exciting opportunity to influence positive change and feel their voice matters.

Take advantage of this opportunity to connect, share your views, and listen to neighbors and friends as we chart the Roadmap to the Future together!
