Thank You for Giving to ALMS and Your Community

If you’ve been to an ALMS Private Reception, Annual Dinner (Save the date for November 5th), or if you’ve had the privilege to be a volunteer mentor, you know that miracles happen in the lives of the young people we serve.

In the last two weeks, we have graduated with 20 students, and 17 had perfect attendance! The others were pulled away by being in play, family emergency, and got job - a good thing! The mentors who served with the students saw miracles one by one as the young people transformed from anxious, timid, and distrusting youth to reliable, intentional, and hopeful students ready to run a meeting if requested.

They were surprised by their abilities when given clear instructions and well-earned praise. They saw mentors who believed in them and encouraged and inspired them toward greatness, not just mediocre. And the results were - a miracle.

If you were an observer at the final meeting, you might respond something like this:

“I loved this experience. The amount of work you do is amazing! So many emotions starting out at a young age.” Angelica Antonio, US Bank

“Very impressed with the group of young people, both from Woodland and Pioneer High School. I did not see them when they came in, but they presented themselves as very capable young people ready to be employed.” Nick Roncoroni, Bayer Corporation

“Great format! I learned so much about the young adults and a little about myself.” Joe Cadelago, Waste Management

The ALMS survey revealed a perfect score from all observers and students.

Thank you ALL for your generous donations during the Big Day of Giving. ALMS plans to expand their services with your support

If you did not get an opportunity to do so, continue to give on our website by clicking on the link below or mail a check to 433-2nd Street, Suite 101, Woodland, CA 95695. ALMS needs monthly givers. You can arrange this with your bank to avoid fees. Again, thank you – for everything.

Special thanks to

Tom and Meg Stallard and Sandy Richardson

for BDOG Matches

Imagine - the impact of changing the trajectory of just one young person’s life. “We would actually change more than that person because we would change how they choose their spouse, love their children, invest into their community, improve their planet – and maybe save the world.”
