2024 Yolo Philanthropy Award Honoree!
The Yolo Philanthropy Awards, sponsored by Nugget Markets, are presented each year by the Yolo Community Foundation (YCF) as a way to recognize volunteers and donors who make a significant impact in our community. Nonprofit organizations are able to recognize an individual or group that exemplifies philanthropy in our community.
Julie came to ALMS from San Jose, looking for a way to participate in serving her community and the youth of this generation. She is a mother of three young adults, with two at home. She sees our youth's social and emotional challenges in understanding who they are and where they belong in the world around them.
“Julie brings a unique set of skills to her volunteer administrative role at ALMS. Her consistently positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to mentor office interns in bookkeeping, filing, and general administrative services make her an invaluable asset to our team. Thank you for your smiles, laughter, and friendship to everyone who comes into the office. We are so fortunate to have you!”
